Well it certainly surprises me that none of my illustrious friends who are so well versed with the subject of "Love" have commented on this much celebrated day......
For all those who are not aware of the origins of valentines day... It goes like this.... Back in the distant past around the 13th century there was a stringent custom that marriages could take place only between the royalty..... And there was this "Saint" guy with the name of Valentine who clandestinely arranged marriages between common folk..... And so he was publicly tried and executed.... In remembrance of his execution we celebrate "St Valentines day".
He should meet the marriage brokers we have today or even better the no. of matrimonial sites.... I`m sure he would get up from his grave and commit suicide.... Lolz.......
Now in accordance with "Customs" this day is marked by celebrations and people openly expressing their love to the special people in their lives blah blah blah......
Now its gotten into the minds of people that Valentines day should only be celebrated with a member of the opposite sex.... But it escapes me why people dont celebrate the day with their friends..... Aren`t they your loved ones too.... Dont they need to be shown that you care for them.....
So for the upcoming Valentines day proudly say to the world..... I spent valentines day with not one but many..... And let people wonder what u mean....I mean friends here of course.... And for those who think i mean otherwise.... SCREW U!!!!
I spent Valentines day with two of my close friends Nerdy and Kd and i personally feel it was a very enlightening session for me.... Not so much for nerdy because at the end of our conversation she made up her mind that i am a Dog..... As for Kd he remained as confused as he was before the conversation if not more.... Now thinking back i cannot FATHOM what was it that we spoke about but it was great fun to hang out with them Also it became apparent to them that a square will remain a square and quite a symmetrical one at that.... Cheers guys....
And i would love your comments on my question.....

Hm... where to start . Well meeting a guy or a girl doesnt necessarily mean a date but in most cases especially for a certain someone it definitly does . And yes i do agree that time we spent was nice fun . Shame more people weren't around (We were waiting for teacher actually) . And your absolutely correct in the definition of valentines day . Spending it with friends can be very good fun .
