Future talks i see . Well then i shall put in my two cents as well (yea yea , "thats all they're worth", hardy har har)

Well obviously first plan is to buy Xbox 360 which is an interesting time to buy since new hardware is coming for the Xbox called Project natal which is like a camera which tracks your movement using motion sensing and lets you play games without any controllers. That should be fun.

Then Gadgets are always on my list . I would like to attend at least one of the CES (consumer electronic show) in las vegas just to see what its about . They always have some cool tech and you have some level if you get things that are not out in the market.

Then i would like to start a comic book collection but i don't have even one :_( because they are so damn expensive(the good ones are anyway)

I would like to own a nice camera . Not a high end one . A decent one should be just fine one that does the job not "shows off"(i'm looking at you teacher)

At some point i would like to own a nice car . Foreign one perhaps but an Indian car with a foreign design will do as well. I don't like Indian styling too much . The Rims are the worst things i have ever seen. And the shapes are completely unimaginative .

I would like to have the liberty to change phones as new ones come along but that works out only if you have the right kind of job which gives you the moolah required for such kind of dreams.

And i think one of the important things i want to do in my lifetime is visit the US and Europe at least once. Just go with friends and explore a new place for a good amount of time . Try to live free and experience things stress free. Not in a rush , "Oh we have to go there and there and a billion more places today since we don't have time". Holidays on a time limit are not really holidays . They are a challenge on your time management skills . Ruins the fun.

Oh and job dreams would be to be a game designer/game tester/lots of money earner/aston martin owner since i'm earning lots of money/ridiculously famous because of my games/accomplished writer since Codename:Nightfall(That's the name i've given my story by the way)is crazy famous and its part of a trilogy which has been made into a 5 part movie series/and astronaut/firefighter/pilot since thats every kids dream :)

I guess thats it for now i shall go dream up some more totally achievable goals later

The future and all that jazz

The once prodigious, and now neglected, blog is making feeble attempts at a comeback. This is my little push, trying to make it happen.

Today when we all met up for lunch(if you can call that lunch), I noticed how the topic of discussion always came back to one thing. Future plans. You know what that means. We're officially growing up. (Not including the time spent woohoo-ing when playing fifa.)

The thing with these future plans is that it is all centered around things to do/buy after we start (hopefully) earning. The time period for this is around a year from now. (Only one happens to be a 5-year plan.)

Here are some of the things I want to tick off the to-do list in one years time:
- Own a DSLR (borrowing not counted.)
- Expand book collection to atleast 1.5 times current size. (Dad/Mom/Brother's books not included.)
- Learn to write without excessive use of parenthesis. (Surely you've noticed the overdose of brackets, right?)

Well since I dont have much more to say about this, why dont you(you, who's reading) comment with your immediate or not-so-immediate future plans. Or better still, make a post of it here. The blog really could use a revival of sorts.

So what else.........

Well its been a long time since i forayed into the blog world . The thing that reminded me that blogs still exist is the fact that teacher still writes on hers which is nice to see (which i found out through twitter). So i was curious to see what had happened on our zombie blog and the last thing anyone ever wrote was me (thank you thank you) and i was just thinking its about time someone wrote something about something (thats a very specific statement).

Well the wonderful thing is i don't really have anything specific to say. So i'll just talk about whats new (since we haven't really met up in awhile). Hm.. lets see now , first of all i got a new phone :) Nokia 5230 . Black color, touchscreen, it has this new feature called "This is a kick ass phone" . This particular feature is how you say , a.............. hm.... thats weird, i cant for the life of me think of a word that'll fit here, how bizarre. Anywho i started my project (kind of) at IBM ISS!! but sucky thing is i'm doing it alone but hey what are you gonna do right. Its very scary to work there cos its all quiet and professional. And the big boys don't have time for the little fish but there is one guy at least who's interested in helping me. He has his sights aimed real high with thoughts like "Maybe we can even patent this after its done" . PATENT! ME! HAH! i'll just be glad to see the end of this whole project business because its turning out to be quite a pain in the ass. The cafeteria there is boring (even the lady who stands at the juice counter is like "Oh you again , what do YOU want??!??") but i guess something is better than nothing. Other than that its pretty much same old same old . Stupid hard drive keeps giving CRC errors which the net says it means the drive is on its way out :_( So now its a race to see whether the drive will crash or my lazy ass will get up and buy a new one. Bring it on Hard drive!!!

So thats about it . I'm pretty sure no one checks this place anymore so this post should go unnoticed for awhile. But i just thought the blog must be feeling lonely so why not cheer it up (I know none of that made any sense but anyway) Keep on blogging people. Its fun especially when your bored and have nothing to write about. (Wooo look at that i sure can ramble on)

Aati kya khandala......(Nah!)

Well day 3 . I'm in pune right now . Drove from mumbai . The drive was pretty nice. We have rented an innova so pretty comfortable . One interesting thing i noted is the car sounds like a whale at high speeds . Its weird . The whole ride there was like whales talking each other all the way . There were some very cool tunnels on the way . Right through the hills . Nice too see . We passed through Khandala and lonavala . Its been raining every few hours . It rains like its being controlled by some switch . Comes sudden and hard and goes when on its own in a flash . In that way its nice cos the weather is managable . If it was summer then it would have been much more of a pain . Pune is not that big of a place . Even the roads are smallish . Kinda boring as of now . But we came here cos of bro who is doing his MBA in SIBM. Celebrated his birthday and met some other cousins as well so that was nice . Went and saw SIBM campus . Its on top of a hill so the view is awesome . Nice and cool. One funny thing is to see people in formals looking like professionals riding cycles , cos thats the way to get to classes since its some distance from the hostel area . Other than that nothing much .One thing i noticed is that there is no compulsory helmet rule here which is weird to see since the condition of bangalore . Anyway time to go . Will be going to Shirdi on monday , then back to mumbai . Cya . Bangalore must be nice and cool these days.

Mumbai meri jan....(mat le)

Well i'm this jobless that i'm blogging from mumbai .
So far its been interesting in a lot of ways . The plane ride was a big cliche with a crying kid and everything. The plane shook worse than some of the bus rides i've had (well to be fair it was a no frills spice jet plane so its understandable). As soon as i got out of the plane i expected some cool weather since it had rained twice already but all i got was sticky air which is very uncomfortable coming from the bangalore cool air. One thing i always like is going to a place where hindi is the common language which always makes me feel more comfortable. The route to my relatives place was like one long slum. I dont mean to sound like a firang but it was surprising to me. And it wasnt that clean either. Didnt find one clean spot over the whole car ride. Finally we reach . The pleasantries out of the way. Nothing much happened . Then casually went out with dad and his brother to the two malls on each side of the apartment complex. One had a 3D theatre aand all . I want one in Bangalore. Anywho. Walked into the nicer one and there is a huge crowd and photo flashes going of at regular intervals. Well the curious person i am i went upstairs to get a better look from top . And look who it was Imran Khan . On the first day! Not bad eh? He was with some female called Shruti who is apparently the daughter of Kamal Hassan and they were promoting LUCK their new film . Anyway there were three photographers next to me screaming his name out trying to get him to look up so that they can get the best pic all the while cursing under their breath that he isnt listening to their persistent annoying shouting every single second. He looked white as hell . Must have slobbered a ton of powder on his face or maybe he is just that fair. Well thats all for today . Now its time to go . Have to figure out how 10 people are going to sleep in a small apartment . Cya . Will try to post somemore when i can.

Well to understand this statement let me take you back to where it all began...

It was the 17th of july, 2009, the second day of our placement activities. A few of my co-zombies and i were standing outside the placement office, waiting for the technical round results of netapps. Tension was building up by the second, heartbeats pumping, blood pressure rising, when suddenly the news arrived!! The results were out. We all raced in to read the list of names, and there it was staring us in the eye.
Suddenly we realised the the implication of this announcement, SOWMYA P, our friend had been placed in NDS!! Happiness, thrill, excitement, all these feelings and many more had just rushed in. We were all too happy for her, all of us jumping as if we had got placed ourselves. Congratulations and hugs were being shared, joy expressed and calls being made. Being placed in a company like NDS was an achievement of sorts, the job was good and the package was handsome.
That is when Karan called. Initially she uttered the "thank you's" and "definitely's" (regarding our demands for a grand treat). Then i heard her joyfully exclaim "..and I get a free tata sky connection!!", which made me realise that Sowmya still is and would always be the cutest and sweetest kid around!!
Congatulations Sowmya..
